Rural Docs Lend their Expertise into Clinical Resources @ Rural Health Conference

The Network had the pleasure of participating in the 2018 Rural Health Conference in Nanaimo on May 11th-13th. It was a fabulous conference organized by the Rural Coordination Centre of BC with attendees from all across the province interested in rural health. The conference kicked off with a traditional Snuneymuxw welcome and a drum ceremony by the Foot Prints of the Wolf, followed by hot topics in clinical care: dermatology pearls, ED intubation tips and tricks, critical care and more…

The Network held a booth which was a great opportunity to connect with new members and solicit feedback and input on the Network from existing members. On Saturday afternoon, there was a lunch session for the Network’s Clinical Resources Program to gather rural feedback and input into some of the clinical summaries in order to make them more relevant and useful for emergency practitioners across BC. We gratefully acknowledge all who attended the session.

We are already looking forward to next year’s Rural Health Conference – hope to see you there!
