Sudden cardiac arrest impacts approximately 35,000 lives a year.

Immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) can markedly improve the probability of survival.  Seconds count! The PulsePoint app links CPR-trained community members to BC Emergency Health Services and notifies them of nearby sudden cardiac arrest events.

PulsePoint notifications include a map showing where the emergency is and the location of nearby public access defibrillators so that you can go to the scene and start CPR while paramedics are on the way.

We are encouraging all of our BC EMN colleagues to download the PulsePoint Respond app today to make our community a healthier place to live and work.
